DESCRIPTION:
This class will teach students how to write creative short stories. They will learn the Do’s and Don’ts of the creative writing process. This class requires a lot of in class writing assignments.
OBJECTIVES:
To learn how to brainstorm ideas and to get those thoughts onto paper.
SUPPLIES:
A small USB drive to store their writing assignments is recommended. The school will provide all other supplies needed for this class.
REGULAR SCHOOL HOURS:
Check schedule to determine time of class. Students are responsible for showing up on time and making work up outside of class. There may be a little outside class time needed to complete writing assignments, but most assignments will take place during regular class hours.
CODE OF CONDUCT:
Students will not be graded (unless in college); however, they will be evaluated on their ability to follow directions and complete assignments.
HOW TO SUCCEED:
To be successful in this class, students need to be open to discussion in what they write. And to remember that the most effective way of becoming a successful writer is to just write, write, write!
